Prevent Windows Screen Timeout and Sleep Mode – NoSleep.exe

There are several scenarios when you need to temporarily prevent windows from going into screen timeout or Sleep mode.  Maybe you don’t want to modify your screen and power options, or you might not have access to.  Here is my favorite utility for preventing your screen from timing out or entering sleep mode.  The utility is called NoSleep.  It runs in the System Tray (no installation required) and simply moves your mouse one pixel to the left, then right every 30 seconds.  The movement is so slight that you wont even notice the tool is running. Give it a try and I think you’ll find this is a very useful utility.

Todd - Yes, you’ll notice the app running in the system tray. Look for the small folder icon. Right click and select Exit.ReplyCancel
